Spring is here! Or it’s good at deceiving us. I go outside, feel the sun on your face and forget about everything I was supposed to do. Do you have the same?
Either way, it’s warm during the day and cold at night, so there’s nothing better than a proper snack/lunch/however-you-want-to-name-it tart. This time one of my favorites – blue cheese and pear tart. Check this out!
Blue cheese and pear tart
Ingredients (medium size tart):
- Pastry tart base
- 3 big pears/4 medium
- 7 ounces of blue cheese of your choice
- A handful of walnuts or hazelnuts
- 1 egg
- 3.5 ounces of sour cream
- salt, pepper, herbs of your choice
Form the dough in the tart or pie base. Cut blue cheese and pears into slices of cubes (I personally prefer cubes and like to mix it with small cubes of blue cheese before putting on the dough), put them on your dough.
Cut hazelnuts into small pieces and add them to your cheese and pear.
Mix egg, cream and spices together. Pour the mixture on the rest of ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350 F/180 C. Bake the tart for 30-40 minutes (until the sides are gold color). Eat warm.
Highly recommended for girls nights, goes perfect with wine and gossips 🙂
